Please attach your dxdiag file to the email. You can get to your dxdiag by following these steps:
- Click on Start
- Select Run
- Type "dxdiag" (without quotes)
- Select Enter

Patch
The patch updates version 1.0 of Daemonica by fixing a few minor bugs and enhancing certain aspects of gameplay. It should only be applied to the English version of the full game.
Please do not apply this patch to a demo version or another language version of the game.
Corrections
1. Fixes a rare crash when entering map panel by clicking the compass window
2. Fixes an inventory bug involving the bucket with water
Enhancements
1. Herbs now appear evenly throughout the acts making the task of creating potions much easier
2. Game can be run with an alternative text font (Times New Roman) making it easier to read

FAQ
The texts look ugly
Q: The text that appears in the game looks funny or is very hard to read?
A: If there is default windows font (Arial) showing instead of a proper (medieval-looking) font, the game font was probably not installed. This could happen, for example, if you try to install the game to the computer in other than administrator mode. Please use the administrator mode or contact the administrator in order to install the font.
The game crashes even before I get to see the main menu.
Q: Why does the game crash on my computer even before I even start playing?
A: This is probably caused by not having the proper Windows Media Video 9 (WMV9) codecs installed. These are commonly found in Windows XP (Service Pack 2). The codecs can be downloaded directly from the Microsoft Windows website.
Can't open video device
Q: Why do I get the error "Can't open video device" when trying to run the game?
A: If you get this error and your desktop resolution is set higher than 1024x768, try (as a temporary workaround) to set it to 1024x768 and then run the game (resolution 1280x1024 should work fine when set in-game). This bug is quite rare and we're currently looking into it.
